COMPETITIONS
Competitions are a great way to build recognition and respect for our photography. For hobbyists or serious amateur photographers, competitions
at the most basic level can be a way of assessing our skill against other photographers and, in the long run, of improving our photography.

They are also a great way to showcase our work, get valuable feedback (critiques), and experience the satisfaction of seeing our work on display.

At our club we hold 3 competitions per year where we invite a guest judge
to come along and critique our work. The judge awards points in the way
of Merit (4 points), Credit (3) and Acceptance (2) which are tallied up and
go towards winning a trophy at the end of the Year.

We also have our End of Year Competition, where members usually
enter their best work, from throughout the year, and winners also
go home with a trophy.

Additionally we hold two themed competitions, which are self judged by our members. These are fun to enter and you can win a small prize.
