WELCOME
Not all of us share friendships with others who are as interested in photography, but a photographic club will very quickly change all that.

So take that first step in improving your photography and come along to one of our meetings as visitors are most welcome.

OUR CLUB
Our club has been in operation since 1995 and consists of a number of very dedicated and successful photographers through to the beginners and our meetings are held in a friendly and informative environment. We have regular outings, guest speakers, hands-on workshop nights, competitions and Show & Tell nights.
​
Further, there is a wealth of experience within the club, and advice is always on hand.

OUR OBJECTIVE
Photography is an art as well as a hobby and our objective at The Penrith RSL Photographic Club is to promote and encourage the knowledge and uses of photography while nurturing the growth and development of the individual member as a person and as a photographic artist.

SHOW & TELL
Our Show & Tell nights are for everyone to show off their photos and explain about why they took them, how they took them, what special technique was involved, etc. Or to show a photo that did not work and ask about the reasons why.
​
Everyone seems to enjoy this because, as photographers,
we not only enjoy taking photos but also showing them off.
It also allows everyone to see how other photographers create their images, thus providing inspiration to go out
and keep on taking photographs.
WHY JOIN
Here you can discuss every aspect of photography amongst other keen enthusiasts, learn to understand technical jargon, learn ways to improve your techniques in landscape, portraiture, nature, sport, etc, receive great tips and advice and have all your questions answered.

So remember photography is fun, the joy of it is meant to be shared and enjoyed with others, so don’t continue alone when there is absolutely no reason too. A new circle of friends will help inspire and encourage you.

HOW TO JOIN
We encourage people to come along to a few meetings, to see if we are what you are looking for, before making a decision to join. If you decide to join our club, you first must be a member of the RSL Club, then you can join the Photographic Club. Prices are:

Single $25 Family $30 Pensioner/Family $15
​
Membership fees are renewable each year in December. New members joining mid-year are eligible for a discount.

WHEN AND WHERE
We meet ever 2nd and 4th Monday of each month in the Penrith RSL Club, Tindale Street, Penrith starting at 7.30pm. Please ask the doorman for directions to our meeting room.
